San Diego - Unexpected Blessing

On Monday, we went to the park at Sage Canyon Elementary to hang out with our friends from Elevate. Some of our team was playing volleyball, when Chuck M. was going to make the big play of the game (creative license). Instead of making the big play, Chuck fell and dislocated his knee. (I mean it looked bad!) The EMS was called. Now this is where it gets good. Chuck had on a DNow t-shirt. He started witnessing to the EMS guys about what the shirt stood for (Way to go Chuck!!)

Then when we went to the emergency room, Ricky was going to give one the firemen (they also came to help) an Elevate card. The fireman already had a card. Ricky was not happy at all. The rest of the evening he kept asking: “I wonder who beat me to it.” When is the last time you got upset because someone spoke to a person before you got to? Talk about passion! May we all be so passionate that we get upset if we are not the first one to tell someone about Christ.

Blessing come in many ways and I was very blessed last night to witness this one. I believe that Elevate will also see results from the contacts made.
